This fragrance-free, vegan cleansing balm is gentle yet effective in removing makeup, including eye makeup and waterproof mascara! It will leave your skin feeling moisturized, not oily, dry, or dehydrated!  

* given the summer heat we added a bit more emulsifier so the balm texture can hold up better during transport- the sake balm cleanser will feel a bit harder but works the exact same! 

** If it does arrive a bit soft - set the jar in your refrigerator for 30 minutes or leave it on the counter overnight-  

Key Ingredients

  • Rice Bran Oil: Rich in antioxidants that help protect the skin from environmental damage.
  • Prickly Pear Extract: Contains hydrating, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties. It also reduces skin inflammation as well as prevents skin damage and acne. 
  • Sake Extract (oil): The high concentration of amino acids help to smooth uneven skin texture, maintain elasticity and replenish the skin’s nutrients. 

Directions

Put a small amount in your hand and rub it onto your skin. Add warm water until the product begins to turn white. Apply liberally all over the face and around the eyes to remove makeup. Rinse and repeat to thoroughly cleanse pores -or- follow with a second cleanser of your choice.

Great Makeup Remover

The Sake Cleansing Balm is definitely great at removing my makeup, including mascara. I find that I do not need any other products to remove my eye makeup. It also leaves my face feeling very soft and moisturized.

Great makeup remover

This balm removes makeup and rinses clean. I've been using this for a while now and it's better than the other brands I have tried. My skin is sensitive and it never caused any issues.

Melts away everything!!

I received a small jar with my last order and I fell in love with it! I've bought every brand out there to remove my mascara, and this is the best thing I've found at removing tough waterproof mascara and the tubing mascara.
I also have to mention how gentle it feels and it doesn't make you feel greasy or leave a film. You will love this! I'm keeping the small jar to use when traveling. It just takes the smallest amount to do your whole face. The big jar should easily last me through the year.

Best makeup remover

I have used several balm-styled makeup removers/cleaners and this by far is the best-I love something that suds up and this one does cleaning all makeup including eye makeup and mascara - the balm rinses very clean and I can then use my second wash easily knowing the makeup is gone - it has been skin changing for me

Somewhat thick

I’m about halfway through my first jar. The product is thick and I feel like I’m really pulling on my skin, when I’m spreading it on. It seems to do a good job removing sunscreen. I use as first cleanse.

Fantastic product

Good cleansing balm

This cleansing balm is very good in getting my makeup off and doesn’t dry my skin. However, it is harder than my other balms. Wish it was a tad easier to get out of the tub.

I loved the product, however only got to use it for four days before traveling. TSA confiscated it and now I am without. I was really sad about that because I really did like the product. I have very dry skin and it was nice to start my routine with a face that felt moisturized after cleansing. It’s a bit pricey so I will have to wait before purchasing again. I will get it in the future.

For Me, Or Not For Me

I think the Sake Cleansing Balm is a nice product and would work very well for someone who wears makeup. I don't wear a lot of makeup, so I think it is overkill for me. I don't care for the packaging. Cleaning the little spoon used to scoop out the product from the jar just adds another step to the cleansing process. If the product were reformulated so that it could be used from a pump or a tube, I would rethink purchasing it just for skincare.

I love the Sake Cleansing Balm, it is very effective at removing makeup, even eye makeup. I have experienced blurred vision after removing eye makeup. It’s almost impossible to not get it in my eyes… but I will continue to use it.
